Meet the Team

The team at Thirty Year is a blend of experienced horsemen and fresh new ideas. From breeding and foaling to natural horsemanship, our crew is one of collaboration and teamwork.

Lolly LaRue

Lolly LaRue

Farm Manager

Lolly joined Thirty Year Farm in 2022 after previously working with retired racehorses. Born in Philadelphia but raised in Saratoga Springs, Lolly has been a horse-lover her whole life. One of her favorite childhood memories is getting up before dawn to take the backstretch tours at Saratoga Racetrack with her mom every summer. She started riding at age eight and earned lessons through mucking stalls and caring for the horses. That led to managing Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga in 2018 and having the opportunity to work for Matt and Kristen just a few years later.

Lolly brings management and horse experience to the team, as well as a bright and positive attitude.

Jeff Raine

Jeff Raine

Property Manager and Farm Advisor

Jeff joined Thirty Year Farm in 2018 after working in the breeding industry since the 1970’s. He started working at Hurricane Stud prepping mares and foals while getting his Animal Science degree at the University of Kentucky. Eventually he made it up to Long Island to work on Robert Entenmann’s Big E farm for 20 years while raising his two girls with his wife, Lisa. In 2004 Jeff and his family moved up to Chester and Mary Broman’s Chestertown Farm, which he managed for 12 years. He got connected to Matt and Kristen through John Kimmel and settled in Saratoga to advise them through their first steps in the Thoroughbred breeding world. In addition to managing the maintenance of the farm, Jeff consults on breeding, sales, and all other horse-related needs.

Jeff brings extensive breeding and pedigree knowledge to the team and is always there with a bit of humor and a laugh.

He also trained his own racehorses for 10 years before settling back into the breeding side of the business.
